Overview of District International Service Programs
International Service Aims
- To maintain goodwill amongst Rotarians around the world through our sister club and a new international fellowship.
- To help develop an understanding and appreciation of the differences and similarities that exist between the peoples of the world whether they live abroad or within our community.
- To extend a helping hand in working towards alleviating hunger, illiteracy and disease where possible.
- To promote and support the work of The Rotary Foundation especially Ambassadorial Scholarships and Group Study Exchange.
- To finally rid the world of Polio through Rotary's Polio Plus program.
Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS)
RAWCS is a multi-District activity to encourage Rotarians, Rotary Clubs, Rotary Districts and others to participate in meaningful World Community Service projects.
Hunters Hill Rotary Club is part of District 9680 which belongs to the Eastern Region of Australia, and this region comprises the Districts of 9650, 9670, 9680, 9690, 9700, 9710 and 9750. Many of the programs draw volunteers from several of these Districts, as joint initiatives.
